AdSense introduces 3-Way Billing

The Google AdSense Certified Partners programme was launched in the final quarter of 2013 and gives website owners a selected network of trusted specialists to turn to for help with the AdSense programme.  One central principal of the programme is security for publishers, and Certified Partners can already manage publishers AdSense accounts without needing login details or access to the sensitive parts of the account.

This week publishers already working with Certified Partners are being invited to benefit from an additional level of account security and efficiency through the introduction of 3-way billing.

Many publishers work with their AdSense partners on a performance basis; with the partners working to increase revenues on their behalf and being paid a commission based on performance.  3 way billing makes these arrangements faster, more secure and easier to administer. Certified partners can now be paid at source by Google, removing the need for publishers to settle separate invoices for partner commissions.  Revenue share is calculated at per-click level, which also means fairer attribution in cases where revenue adjustments are made.

How it works

  • Publisher and partner agree revenue split
  • Partner upgrades account to 3-Way and set’s revenue share levels for each AdSense product
  • Publishers and partners get their share paid directly by Google on the usual billing cycle
  • Publisher can see the split being applied in their account at any time

One of the great advantages of working with a Google AdSense Certified partner is that your account is run to its best ability without adding to your workload. Improvements such as 3 way billing make the process even easier helping bring the advantages of a managed account without losing the “hassle free” appeal of AdSense.
